Living mindfully usually means living in the present moment, not dwelling on the past or fantasizing about the future.
Living mindfully means you need to face unpleasant details and deal with them. Denying the uncomfortable truths isn’t going to make sure they are any less true or less detrimental. For example of this sitting while in front of the TV mindlessly eating a large tub of ice-cream does not mean you are ingesting much less calories and in case you have a problem with your body image, eating mindlessly will not improve the way you are feeling with regards to you.
